DOUBLE GLAZING £5000 VOUCHER THE REAL ANSWERS

-

Who has not heard of the latest Government Green Home Grant Scheme?

Well just about everyone with a home is talking about it, and even Martin Lewis has been advising about it, but not everything is as it seems.

Initially it seemed wonderful news for all homeowners with £5000 being awarded for home improvements, but once again, let’s find the real truth.

Anyone who remembers the original Green Deal scheme that was launched by the Government to be the answer to all our energy needs, we probably all remember the lack of approvals after we had paid for our energy assessments.

In regards to the new voucher scheme the chances of being able to use this for new double glazing is very low. WHY?

Look at the budget that has been set aside by the Government of £2billion divide this by the £5000 this would only allow 400,000 homes as there are multimillions of homes owned within the UK the chance of being approved are limited, even if all homeowners were not awarded a full allocation of the amount the figures do not add up.

Before you can use any of the voucher for double glazing you are required to have wall, under floor and loft insulation, on top of this low carbon heating, solar / groundsource or air-source thermal systems, If and only If you have all this and it comes to double glazing unfortunately unless your home is still single glaze glass and you have all the primary then you will and only then be eligible.

Windows Plus decided to put this article together to help put the information across and

Lorraine Mcdonald and Gary Hampton inform people correctly in relation to this, as these grants can be a minefield.

We are having a lot of contact from customers who are confused in relation to what this is all about and should they be eligible and what they should do in relation to applying for the grant.

We have given all our customers the same advice, if they are unsure then they should hold off on their work, and they are more than welcome to postpone any contracts they have in place with us while they see if they get accepted, but we are sure that this will not be the case due to our experience in this field as part of the previous green deal scheme.

If this had made you realise you require new windows / door or a conservatory then Windows Plus are offering a great deal for work to be completed in January, a further discount of our already low prices.

For more information in relation to this please feel free to research the following websites which are informative, and should you require any further information, or have any queries then please feel free to contact Windows Plus on 02476230222 and we will be happy to help where we can.
