Careless young are cause of virus surge

- P. Sheehan, Coventry.

IT is so obvious who and what is causing this virus surge. It is the teens/twenties that are showing a total disregard to any rules, regulations, and suggestions, you have only to look at the photos in the papers of the devil-may-care attitude of the younger population.

Perhaps these new curbs should only refer to them and let us older and hopefully more sensible people get on with our lives.

Keep the careless fraternity cooped up out of harms way, to let us enjoy what we have left in somewhat safety.

Will Tom be the new James Bond?

SO Tom Hardy may possibly be inheriting the Walther PPK from Daniel Craig?

Nothing is confirmed yet but reports of him having been offered the role back in June are currently spreading like wildfire in the media.

I’ve thought that Hardy would make a fine James Bond since I first saw him play both of the Kray twins in the film Legend back in 2015 which was a really impressive performance on his part.

On the other hand the press have got it totally wrong when it comes to predicting the incoming 007 in the past.

Back in 1986 it was reported in the tabloids that an unknown Australian model called Finlay Light had won the race to be the new 007 following the retirement of an ageing Roger Moore and had signed a lucrative ten year deal to play Bond despite the fact that nobody knew him from Adam.

Needless to say this turned out to be a completely untrue as Timothy Dalton was cast as Bond for The Living Daylights in 1987. Watch this space.
