Pedestrians will soon need proficiency test

-

I READ with great dismay recently, that after a disastrous trial of the E- scooter in Coventry, they are about to make a comeback on our roads.

Although their return will be under stricter conditions than before, with measures in place to prevent them from being ridden on the pavements, I cannot see how this rule will be policed.

The vulnerable pavement users have enough to contend with, having to avoid mobility scooters, pushchairs, bicycles, skateboards, shopping trolleys, roller skaters etc.

Quite soon, all pedestrians will be required to take a proficiency test, in order just to walk our streets in relative comfort and safety.

All you need to know about direction of EU

I TRY to pay as little attention as possible to the EU especially now that the UK has left.

However, a few weeks ago Brussels staged the ‘State of The Union’ address. Haven’t got designs on nationhood much have they? They’ve got a flag, an anthem, a parliament, a currency, a constitution and now this.

I think the fact that the British people voted to leave it tells you all you need to know about the state of their union and the direction it is headed in.

Impressive system to get my flu jab

SPRING Hill Medical Centre in Arley was very impressive in their organisation of the flu jabs....very efficient and safe. There was no waiting with timed appointments, temperature checks and strict social distancing with a one-way system.

Thank you to the staff working at this difficult time.
