Six city takeaways in running for top award
SIX takeaways in Coventry have made it through to the semi-finals of the Great British Kebab Awards.
The awards are in their ninth year and recognise and champion the efforts of local kebab takeaways and restaurants across the UK.
Run in association with Just Eat and supported by the Kebab Alliance, there are 18 awards up for grabs when the ceremony takes place in London on October 26.
Six different Coventry-based eateries are in the running for the awards...

Best Newcomer Restaurant in London/outside London: Sofra Anatolia, Barras Green Best Takeaway Regional: German Doner Kebab, The
Burges Popeyes Food Fare, Jardine Crescent, Tile Hill
Best Value Restaurant: Sofra Anatolia, Barras Green Customer Satisfaction: Alaturka Doner, Smithford Way Best Labenese Restaurant: Aqua Food and Mood, Butts Other sponsors also include leading household brands and major players in the kebab industry, including Unilever and its leading brands Hellmann’s and Ben & Jerry’s.
