Superdrug set to open huge new store in Cov

A HUGE new Superdrug store will be opening in Coventry. It will be based in the former One Below store in Lower Precinct.

Signs have appeared on the outside of the building as they gear up for the opening. Superdrug will welcome customers in the coming months, although the exact date is yet to be confirmed.

It will open near rival retailer Boots. Shoppers will find a range of health and beauty products at the brand-new store including popular own-brand ranges, such as Me+, Optimum and Naturally Radiant as well as bestselling brands such as Maybelline and Rimmel.

Lower Precinct said on Facebook: “We’re extremely excited to welcome Superdrug. Opening soon!”

Jobs are available at the new store. QR codes can be scanned on the signage outside for details on how to apply.

Superdrug has recently ‘frozen’ the prices of thousands of products in the run-up to Christmas. Prices have been locked on 5,000 beauty items until the end of the year to help shoppers during the cost-ofliving crisis. That guarantee includes popular cosmetics brands, such as Revolution and NYX, as well as smaller brands.

We understand the store based on Market Way will close in the coming months ahead of its demolition as part of the City Centre South redevelopment. A number of shops have already been moving including the newly-opened Shoe Zone which has taken over Pizza Hut. One Beyond, formerly known as One Below, will also be opening soon in West Orchards Shopping Centre, alongside other high-street retailers Toytown and Iceland.
