TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMEN­TS HOLYHEAD ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of which would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading/unloading entering or proceeding along that part of Holyhead Road fronting numbers 285 to 295. The Order would come into effect 07.00 hours on Friday, 04 November 2022 and is required to enable carriagewa­y patching and associated works to be undertaken safely.

The Order would remain in place for a maximum of eighteen months to allow for unexpected events, but it is envisaged the works will be completed by 5th November 2022 (whichever is the earlier). The road may need to be closed or restricted on a number of occasions for various durations. The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site. Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic would be as signed on site. Exemptions would be provided for:(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable

in uniform or civil enforcemen­t officer in uniform; (b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restrictio­n imposed by the Order; (c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said

works;

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to the closed section of Holyhead

Road

Any vehicle waiting in contravent­ion of any restrictio­n imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulation­s 1986.
