TEMPORARY PARKING AND TRAFFIC ARRANGEMEN­TS DAVENTRY ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Daventry Road, more particular­ly from its junction with Quinton Road to its junction with Queen Isabel’s Road.

The Order would come into effect from 07:00 hours on Tuesday 29 November 2022 and is required for Road marking installati­on and associated works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Thursday 1 December 2022. The road may need to be closed or restricted on a number of occasions for various durations. Diversion routes would be sign posted where appropriat­e and access to premises maintained wherever possible except when works is directly in front of a property.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police

constable in uniform or civil enforcemen­t officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restrictio­n imposed by the Order; (c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; (d) any persons requiring reasonable vehicular access or egress to properties

on the closed section of Daventry Road.

Any vehicle waiting in contravent­ion of any restrictio­n imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulation­s 1986.
