I hope the Sky Blues can give a real boost to the city

- A. Byrne, by email.

IT LOOKS as though Coventry City’s hopes of making the playoffs are now fading away but understandable with players thinking ahead of the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United.

A Wembley game would certainly be on their mind so let’s hope the Sky Blues can finish the season in glory once again with another famous FA Cup victory and give this city something to cheer about.

It would be great to get to another FA Cup final something that would really boost the city and give us all something to smile about as the spring and summer brings thoughts of better days ahead.

G. Smith,

Coventry.

Only common sense can bring us together

FIRST, the Tories continue to huff and puff instead of grasping the nettle and finally sorting out the thousands of migrants who continue to flood to our shores, fleeing oppression in the EU.

Second, we have Labour, who are now realising they could be left with this problem if – as most people think – they win the next election.

So after years of putting up every road block to stop the government from sorting the problem of migrants, they are now urgently trying to get the government to sort it out.

Then we have Angela Rayner with her second home, telling everyone it’s wrong and she will end the right to buy.

The ministry of propaganda (BBC) are doing their best to kill the story by not reporting it.

And Rayner is moaning about the pressure being put on her, which is about a tenth of what she and the BBC put on Boris.

Now we have laws being passed to criminalise free speech. Such laws do not bring people together, they drive them to segregation.

We are more divided now as a nation than ever before. We have to return to common sense and agree we’re not always going to see eye-to-eye. Trying to force people with bad law will only drive people into the hands of extremists.
