HERCULES #1

Fans of Disney’s 1997 hit, Hercules, can follow the hero’s continuing adventures in this new comic series.

Picking up where the animated movie left off, we find the world’s favourite demigodturned-mortal helping out the Greek gods with Earthly issues from time to time.

When Aphrodite grants an artist’s wish that his sculpture be brought to life, Herc gets the call to clean things up when the newly conscious artwork proves to be more bonecrushingly lively than expected.

Written by Elliott Kalan, with art by George Kambadais, Hercules #1 is out now, priced £4.90. Look out for variant covers, like the one pictured, which cost up to £24.

JIM HENSON’S LABYRINTH: ARCHIVE EDITION #1

It will pain every early 80s kid to learn that it’s 38 years since Labyrinth was released.

Jim Henson’s incredible fantasy tale – and David Bowie’s unforgettable performance – left an indelible mark on any child who watched it.

Now, for the first time in 35 years, the beautiful comic which was released in the movie’s wake is being reissued.

Adapted by Sid Jacobson with artwork by John Buscema, this will stir nostalgic feelings.

Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Archive Edition #1 is out now, priced £4.90. Variant covers, including a reproduction of the original 1989 one, are available.

UNCANNY VALLEY #1

A unique tale that blends real life with cartoons begins this week.

Valley has been described as Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but with a schoolboy at its heart.

Oliver is seemingly like every other 12-year-old, except for a mysterious family history and slew of powers he can’t explain.

He will discover what makes him special as he searches for his place in the world in this surprisingly touching tale.

Written by Tony Fleecs, with art by Dave Wachter, Uncanny Valley #1 is out now, priced £4.90. Look out for variant covers priced up to £7.99.
