Support Partnership

-

A MENTAL health charity has formed a partnership to help support the people of Cumnock and the surrounding area.

Megan’s Space has joined forces with the Netherthird Community Centre to ensure they can offer support from the Ryderston Drive venue.

The charity will be operating sessions at the centre twice per week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, making use of the state of the art facilities at the extended Netherthird building.

Support is now “only a click away” as counselling sessions can be booked following a confidential online self-referral on www. megansspace.com.

A community centre spokesperson said: “We are pleased to announce that Megan’s Space is partnering with Netherthird Community Centre in Cumnock to provide counselling and mental health support services for the Cumnock community and surrounding area.

“Sessions will be held in state of the art counselling facilities in the new community centre extension.

“Is it time to talk? If it is, reach out to somebody you know. However if you feel you would need extra help and would like to talk to one of our practitioners, please send us a private message and your enquiry will be confidential.”

The team from Megan’s Space added: “Anxiety, low mood, thoughts or actions of self harm, bereavement or trauma. We are now able to provide counselling sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Neverthird Community Centre.

“Support is only a click away.”

Megan’s Space is a North Ayrshire-based charity which was launched in 2019 after Megan Copeland, a young woman from Irvine with a bright future and personality, loved by those around her, made the tragic choice to take her own life.

Megan’s story is not unique and in 2019, in the aftermath of her tragic death, Megan’s Space was founded by her parents Jenny and Rob, with the aim of stopping the same thing happening to anyone else.
