Colour conundrum

I have been somewhat bemused by letters regarding the colours of club kit. A few years ago the Farnborough and Camberley CC had a bright, distinctive jersey. People remarked that they could pick out our riders in a bunch very easily. However, there was a strong feeling from a large number of members that it was too bright, and in fact we lost members and discouraged others from joining because of it. As a result, alternative kit was produced, which was predominantly blue with a yellow band across the middle.

Another set of kit has now been produced for our road racers which is largely red and our time triallists are spending large sums of money for the latest skinsuits in aero materials — but in black!
