I am a member of Harlequins Cycling Club, a lesser-known West London club that supported Reg Randall when he set a new end-to-end time of just over two days in 1958. So I was a little bit peeved at his absence from the piece in the October 19 edition of CW, bearing in mind that in 1960 he set a new time for the 1,000 miles which, would you believe, stood for 41 years.
Worth a mention? I would have thought so.
