Prob­a­bly the club’s most suc­cess­ful racer, Barry Minns was a big name in the 50s and 60s. He had tri­umphs in time tri­als of all dis­tances, was an ac­com­plished grass-track racer and has nu­mer­ous road wins to his name.

In 2015 Ian Ea­ton com­pleted his own Three Peaks chal­lenge, rid­ing 1,280 miles from Bun­gay to Ben Ne­vis, Scafell Pike and Snow­don.

Ge­off Maine is one of a num­ber of older rid­ers who are part of the 300,000-mile club. He ranks 16th on the list with over 500,000 miles rid­den.

An­other high-mileage rider, John Pugh, held 24-hour TT age group ti­tles, with 429.9 miles his best.
