It’s fascinating to get in-depth insight into how a pro rider has been handling lockdown. As Henderson told us, it hasn’t seemed drastically different to her normal way of life – except for the lack of racing. The level of volume remains relatively high, and mindful that racing is likely to resume in August, this week is all about reintroducing some race-level efforts: first the TT interval on Wednesday and then the ‘Classics Day Out’ on Saturday. This is as much a mental as a physical exercise – Henderson is getting back into the racing mindset, to be primed for her first race back.
