Recreate the ups and downs of Cyclist’s

You can see our route at tinyurl.com/pl5tlkl. From Ambleside, head around the east coast of Esthwaite Water to Graythwaite and on through Oxen Park and Colton to Springfield. From Spark Bridge, pick up the A592 before threading your way via High Cross to the A593, where you turn left. Turn right in Hawthwaite to Hall Dunnerdale and Austhwaite Brow to Eskdale, where you’ll find the King George IV pub. Take the right-hander at the pub to follow the road to the Hardknott and Wrynose passes. From Clappergate you can retrace your wheel tracks back into Ambleside.
