Gravelissimo!

Follow our route on and off road through the Dolomites

To download this route, go to cyclist.co.uk/64gravel. From Feltre follow the cycle route to Arten and on to Fonzaso. Take the SS50 north, going around the tunnels on the old roads. The SS50 goes all the way to the summit of the Passo Rolle, via Fiera di Primiero and San Martino di Castrozza. About 200m from the top turn right onto a gravel parking area and follow the gravel road up to the Rifugio Baita G. Sagantini. From here descend on gravel, through a scenic valley to meet the SP81. Turn right, up the Passo Valles. Staying on the SP81 descend to Le Fratte and proceed east through Falcade to Cencenighe Agordino. Take the SR203 to Alleghe and Caprile, then the SP20 to Selva di Cadore. From here the SP638 takes you up the Passo Giau. About half a kilometre from the top, stop at the Rifugio Fedare and take the gravel path that follows closely the route of the chairlift up to Rifugio Averau at 2,413m.
