Morgan moves on from Merthyr Town
DOWLAIS product Kerry Morgan, with Merthyr Town last season, has signed for Evo-Stik Southern League Division One (South and West) Mangotsfield United, Bristol.
Wide-man Morgan, ex- Swansea City, Newport County, Bath and Neath, left the Martyrs during the last campaign concerned that he was unable to command a regular place in the side. He switched to Port Talbot but during the close season the Welsh Premiership club lost their domestic licence and so have been demoted to the Welsh League Division One.
Merthyr fans had been speculating that Morgan would return to Merthyr.
The Merthyr club have announced that Cortez Belle, who joined them during last season, will not remain at the Miller Argent Community Stadium.
He missed the end of the season because of hernias which required operations. Born in Coventry, Belle was with Newport before being converted from defender to striker when Merthyr returned to the Southern League Premier after relegation, under manager Andy Beattie. Merthyr sold him to Chester.
His other clubs also included Northwich, Llanelli and Port Talbot.
Belle had a second spell with Merthyr while they were in the Toolstation Western League after the club were re-formed.
When he returned for a third time, Belle said he was pleased to be back and would want to retire from Merthyr.
