RCT Homes rebranding aims to clear up confusion
A HOUSING association which manages more than 10,000 homes in Rhondda Cynon Taff is changing its name – and one of the reasons is to ensure it is not mistaken for a council organisation.
RCT Homes will be called Trivallis from Friday, July 29, when its rebrand will officially come into force.
On the RCT Homes website the organisation – which took over the ownership and management of thousands of homes in December 2007 – gives an explanation for the change and reassures residents that the company is still made up of the same people and services.
It says: “Over time we have developed more services than just landlord services.
“We work closely with communities on regeneration projects, invest in improving open spaces, work hard to make our neighbourhoods safer and provide opportunities for people to access training and employment.
“What we do is about more than just bricks and mortar. And we are proud to be here.
“At the same time many people still think that RCT Homes is the council – in fact we are a completely separate organisation – we have never been part of the council.
“We needed a new brand that represented us properly – and that makes you feel proud to be a tenant of ours.”
Trivallis will be launches at a free community fun day from 10.30am-3.30pm at Pontypridd ‘s Ynysangharad Park.
Live music, the GTFM radio roadshow, donkey rides, 1950s-themed entertainment, bouncy castles, surf simulators and inflatable slides will be among the entertainment.
There will also be an Info Zone where visitors can speak to staff about its services as well as available volunteering and training opportunities.
Careers Wales, Communities First, Game On Wales and Project Teens will all be on hand. Free buses throughout the valleys have been arranged to bring people to Ynysangharad Park for 10.30am and bring them home afterwards.
