RHONDDA & EAST GLAMORGAN DRU

-

THERE has been an increase in games being played in the Rhondda & East Glamorgan DRU league this season.

The new structure, which has four sections, has seen an increase in fulfilment of fixtures from 45% at this point of the season last year to 73% this season.

The Division A structure is just a game short of a 100% figure of games played.

This great statistic is testament to the hard work of the new competition’s committee of the REGDRU which is headed by chairman Roy Wilkinson (Porth Harlequins) along with Luke Thomas (Aberdare), Malcolm Davies (Beddau) and Darren Broad (Bargoed).

Also there seems to be a huge effort from clubs to ensure that 2nd XV rugby continues to thrive in our area, so there is congratulations all round.

There is more good news for the REGDRU league structure as Molson Coors have agreed to sponsor their competitions after discussions with Mid District RU Treasurer Gordon Williams and more informa- tion on this is to follow.
