Young star Jorgen’s the new face of bank advert
A CYNON Valley 11-year- old who has appeared in pantos and on cruise ships will soon become the face of a new campaign by Lloyds Bank.
Jorgen Bangsund, from Aberdare, has recently completed filming for the bank’s campaign in Rhossili Bay, Swansea, and was accompanied by four of the iconic black stallions.
The advert featuring Jorgen, who attends Mark Jermin Stage School in Church Village, shot on the famous Swansea beaches, will be on our screens in summer this year.
Mark Jermin, the director and agent behind the stage school, said he is “absolutely delighted” Jorgen and many of his students have had the chance to work on various prestigious filming projects.
He said: “Our stage school and agency is thriving and constantly expanding – finding and nurturing Welsh talent is our speciality, and for Jorgen to have worked on so many highprofile projects is fantastic.
“I am thrilled that Jorgen has had yet another amazing opportunity to showcase his talent, and I’m proud that he is undertaking his training with us at our weekly classes along with so many other extremely talented children.”
Jorgen already has a wealth of professional experience through the school’s agency, and has previously lived life on the seas for a year as part of a Norwegian cruise-line musical production, as well as featuring in the Jermin Productions’ Dick Whittington pantomime tour.
Mark Jermin set up his first stage school in his local village hall in Pontlliw, Swansea, at the age of just 16 – today, he now heads up 14 schools across Wales and England, providing young talent with a host of film, television and stage opportunities in addition to extensive, in-depth training with a team of teachers.
He added: “Our students are consistently reaching new heights with brilliant hard work.
“The stage school is coming up to its 25th anniversary and we are proud to say that we are more vibrant, dynamic and thriving than ever.”
He said he and all of the stage school would like to congratulate Jorgen on his success, and “cannot wait” to see what he gets up to next. all their
