Police increase patrols

-

POLICE in Wales have increased patrols following last week’s terrorist attack in London.

Four people died following the attack, including police officer Keith Palmer who was protecting Parliament, and the man believed to be the attacker. Around 29 people have also been treated in hospital with seven in a critical condition.

In response, South Wales Police have said visibility will increase across busy parts of the region.

Chief Constable Peter Vaughan said: “There is no specific threat to this region.

“However, the public are urged to be extra vigilant and to report suspicious incidents.

“Police visibility will increase in certain areas across the South Wales Police force area.

“The threat level across the UK is currently at severe.”
