Ponty face RGC in final

PONTYPRIDD will face Rygbi Gogledd Cymru in the WRU National Cup Final at the Principality Stadium on Sunday, April 16.

The tie was set up following two dramatic semi-final encounters on Saturday.

Ponty clung on to victory against a late Cross Keys comeback at the Talbot Athletic Ground, a seemingly comfortable lead of 16-39 trimmed down to 37-42 at the final whistle.

In the other semi at Sardis Road, RGC struck back to score at the death, edging a 24-20 win over Merthyr.

The National Cup Final will be played at the Principality Stadium on Sunday, April 16, kicking off at 5.35pm.
