TEN strangers, all at a crossroads in life, are about to embark on an experience that could change their lives forever.
In a heartwarming new series from the makers of The Real Marigold Hotel, five men and five women arrive in Tuscany to see if their dream to make a new start in the Italian countryside can become a reality.
Settling into La Banditaccia in the foothills of Mount Amiata, the group meet owner and local farmer Maurizio. With its vineyard, olive grove and space for a restaurant, this extraordinary location harbours many possibilities to make a new life.
However, after a tour around the estate, they begin to understand the enormity of the scale of what they’ve taken on.
As well as getting to know each other, the group of singles must adjust to communal living and get to grips with life on the farm. Learning to keep the wild boar at bay, they tackle their first Merlot grape harvest – with mixed results.
The group must integrate with the locals, trying out their basic Italian, and throw themselves into the trials of rural Tuscan living – with all the challenges that brings.
As the cast get to know one another and their new surroundings, they reflect on their personal ambitions and begin to rediscover what really matters in life.
