AN 11-year-old from the Cynon Valley is being featured on the silver screen and billboards across the country after becoming the face of Lloyds Bank.

Jorgen Bangsund, from Aberdare, appears on an advert alongside the bank’s iconic black stallion and stars alongside classmates from the Mark Jermin Stage School.

Mr Jermin, director and agent of the school in Church Village, near Pontypridd, said: “We are thrilled with the final results of the Lloyds campaign.

“I am so pleased that Jorgen has had yet another amazing opportunity to showcase his talent – seeing him pop up on the telly and around the country on huge advertisements is such a joy and makes me feel awfully proud.

“It goes to show that hard work is always rewarded and we couldn’t be happier for him.”

Jorgen’s latest experience comes after he lived life on the seas for a year as part of a Norwegian cruise-line musical production, and he recently featured in Jermin Productions’ pantomime tour of Dick Whittington.

The Lloyds shoot took place in Swansea, with the advert telling the story of the bank’s long-standing support for the people, businesses and communities of Britain over 250 years.

Mr Jermin set up his first stage school in his local village hall in Pontlliw, Swansea, at the age of just 16.

Today he heads up 14 schools across Wales and England, providing young talent with film, television and stage opportunities in addition to in-depth training with a team of skilled teachers.

He said: “Our students are consistently reaching new heights with all their brilliant hard work.

“The stage school is coming up to its 25th anniversary this year as well and we are proud to say that we are more vibrant, dynamic and thriving than ever.”
