PONTYPRIDD RFC Forwards Coach Rob Sidoli is departing the club as the 2016-2017 season ends.

He does so with the sincere thanks of everyone at the club, having worked tirelessly and against significant odds to develop the Pontypridd squad during a difficult period of transition.

Sidoli was in his time a stand-out player at lock forward for Ponty having joined from his hometown club Merthyr in 1999 and going on to make 96 appearances before the restructuring of Welsh Rugby in 2003.

He then went on to represent the Celtic Warriors, Blues and Dragons, and won 42 caps for Wales.

It was in 2015 that Sidoli returned to Sardis Road, this time as a member of the coaching team, taking over from the departing Geraint Lewis.

Pontypridd RFC offers its genuine thanks to Sidoli for his unerring commitment and professionalism in the role of Forwards Coach and wishes him the very best in his future endeavours.
