SPECIAL NIGHT FOR AFC LLWYDCOED CHILDREN
AFC Llwydcoed’s latest end-of-season presentations brought the club’s U7s and U9s to their Llwydcoed HQ.
Club secretary David Evans welcomed parents, family members, friends, players, coaches and distinguished guests – Julie Cook, Asda Aberdare Foundation Official and Alice Griffiths, Wales U17s ladies and Cyncoed FC footballer.
In his opening address Mr Evans welcomed a capacity audience to the evening’s presentation remarking about the special friendship and bond that he had built up with all the parents and all the age groups on Tuesday training nights.
Moving on from this he paid special thanks to U7s coaches Connor Waters, Ciaran Davies, Connor Williams and Mark Antony with Connor Waters receiving special praise and parent Kayleigh Jones for her outstanding help and kindness.
The next age group were the U9s. Mr Evans reminded the audience that without the commitment of all the coaches this presentation would not be taking place, thanking the following coaches – Lee Thomas, Kerry Hansford, Nathan Griffiths, Matthew Salmon, Johnathan Parker, Mark Davies, Ciaran Davies, Connor Waters, Connor Williams and Mark Antony.
Mr Evans then paid special thanks to Asda Aberdare Foundation official Julie Cook for their outstanding sponsorship with 210 junior players signed in 2016/2017 season.
Without sponsorship the players would not have kits to play in. He also thanked the following sponsors – Fergies Caff, Paul Lloyd, David Hill and Afan Dar.
The presentations to all the players were made by Julie Cook and Alice Griffiths followed by a buffet and disco.
It was a special night and one to remember.
