Kelly adds voice to charity single
STEREOPHONICS frontman Kelly Jones is among the latest group of chart-toppers who have taken part in recording a charity single to help Grenfell Tower victims and their familes.
Organiser Simon Cowell said he hoped the single, a cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s hit Bridge Over Troubled Water, will raise millions.
Kelly, from Cwmaman, said the situation in Grenfell had sparked memories of a flood in his street when he was a child.
“It’s very apt for the subject, I know the song, I’ve heard it a million times.
“All these things that are happening in London at the minute, and Manchester and everywhere.
“I think the main thing is people are pulling together.”
