IT’S finally time to say goodbye to Stella and the residents of Pontyberry as the Sky 1 comedy-drama comes to an end.

There have been six series of the Welsh show, which is predominantly filmed in the Rhondda Fach.

Show creator, Ruth Jones, told the Radio Times that the final episode is a “cracker” and that it’s been a “fantastic journey”.

She said: “It’s time to let Pontyberry get on with life in private.

“There’s a part of me that’s very sad it’s finishing – it’s seven years now since we started working on it and as someone pointed out to me, ‘That’s basically the whole of comprehensive school!’

“The last day of filming in Stella’s street I did shed a few tears. But it’s a cracker of a finale.”

Here’s what we’ll miss most about the show... but it felt like she’d been in our lives forever.

Many a character felt the wrath of her weft...

Trying to figure out where the locations are A lot of the show is made in Ferndale, but there are many other locations too.

Including Tonypandy, Llanbradach, Porthcawl and Barry, among others. An iconic car. The 2014 special saw Aunty Brenda put on the Pontyberry panto and there were some sights to behold, the festive special saw Stella give birth during the nativity!

Memorable Christmas telly. Stella’s neighbours were always in the background and became an iconic addition to the series.

All the celeb cameos while we are at it! Pontyberry has seen its fair share of famous faces mun.

Rock stars, comedians and TV chefs have passed through.

Darren Day’s been in this series too!

Its ability to include real-life issues faced by Welsh folk Stella made a statement as it got political with Brexit. Stella’s quiet bench had a cracking view... and there was hardly any rain.

Nadine & Karl’s total lack of a sense of humour (and style) This pair were hilarious and very, very orange most of the time.

Always striving to better themselves, but poor Karl was left heartbroken when Nadine ran off with undertaker Ivan Schloss.
