Sure sign of inadequacy

-

IF I ever had the opportunity to appear on that show hosted by Frank Skinner, there are a couple of things I certainly would want dumped in Room 101.

The first would be personalised car number plates, and the second would be fake car rally tags hanging from the car’s rear-view mirror.

I take these as symbols of wanting to impress others. The first could also be used to hide the actual age of the vehicle.

In a way I feel sorry for these people, who must feel inadequate in some way or other, where they have to embellish themselves to keep up with the Joneses, so to speak.

Having been a qualified driver for almost 53 years, I have seen some lovely cars, some with personalised number plates, and some drivers with questionable driving skills.

Myself, I never wanted a number plate with LGM 1 on, nor a pretend to be Rally Champion Tag. All I wanted was to be able to get from A to B... from Average to Better. Lyndon G Morgan Gelli, Rhondda
