A NEWLY formed band from Aberdare are on the hunt for someone to take the helm.

The band already have four members consisting of Chris Metters, Jon Boggis, Richard Boggis and Ryan Lewis, playing lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass and drums, but they are yet to find that special someone to wow them with their vocals.

The band have posted a video on their Facebook page called ‘Frontman Wanted’, which has already received over 18,000 views and has been shared 120 times.

The video features an original song which has echoes of the sound of Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stoneage.

The song consists of multiple slick and harmonising licks, a heavy bass and drums that you can’t help but head bang to.

Band member Chris Metters formed the band a year and a half ago with Jon Boggis, and were joined by the other members a few months later.

Chris said: “We are open to anyone coming down and trying out for the band.

“Since the video went up we have had so many enquiries, and four people try out who weren’t quite suitable.”

The band even auditioned someone who was a rapper.

Although the Facebook page may be titled ‘Frontman Wanted’ they are open to a man or woman joining the band.

Chris said: “We would love to find someone we can sing and just do gigs with.

“That’s a lie, we’d obviously like fame and fortune too.”

At the moment the band members work in a variety of day jobs, from upholstery to working in Tesco.

While the band are looking for a singer, they are also yet to give their band a name.

“Someone told us we should stick with Frontman Wanted” Chris said.

The band rehearse every Wednesday in a free rehearsal space, have written eight songs and have all their own equipment.

If you know someone who could be suitable, message ‘Frontman Wanted’ on Facebook.
