YOUNG FOOTBALLERS’ AWARDS NIGHT
AFC LLWYDCOED U14S & U16S 2017-2018 PRESENTATION CELEBRATION
AFC Llwydcoed U14s and U16s celebrated a season of development with the U14s finishing fourth in a very strong division.
The U16s had encountered an extremely difficult season on the field and off in another very strong division.
The AFC Llwydcoed club secretary David Evans welcomed parents, family members and players from both teams.
He thanked firstly the U14s coaches Peter Olson and Paul Jones who had filled the vacant coaches positions without whom there would have been no team because of the SWFA rule that there has to be two qualified coaches per team. Both coaches spoke about the brilliant attitude of all the U14s players and with a few more victories they should have finished a few places higher in the league table.
Moving on to the U16s squad because of low numbers the team struggled but that gradually changed thanks to the work of Ashley Davies and Carwyn Speck who recruited some promising players plus the coaching of Ryan Davies and Sam Court. The numbers in the squad doubled and the season was completed in an extremely difficult one on the field and off. Everyone concerned deserve credit for this alone, lots of lessons to be learnt.
AFC Llwydcoed wish to thank their kit sponsors – U14s team were United Brands Projob and the U16s’ sponsor was Afon Dar.
