Crash death father ‘loved by all’

A TEENAGE father has been named as one of the victims of a crash which killed three men on Sunday.

Alex Davidson, 19, from Aberdare, died in the crash which happened on the A4232 in Cardiff .

All three men were travelling in the same vehicle – a grey Ford Focus – when it was involved in a crash with a lorry.

The incident happened at around 4am on August 5 on Southern Way – 200 yards north of the Newport Road roundabout.

Mr Davidson’s family said: “Alex was such a happy, loving person and an amazing Dad.

“Alex had no enemies and was loved by all.”

Robert Bambridge, 24, from Pontypool, also died in the crash.

His family described him as “the most kindhearte­d, free spirit you could ever meet.”

They said: “Robert lived for his daughter and was at his happiest when they were together walking in the mountains and playing in the swimming pool.”

The driver of the lorry was not seriously injured and no arrests have been made.

South Wales Police is still appealing for witnesses. Officers want to speak to anybody who saw the crash, anybody who stopped to provide assistance who has not yet spoken to police and anyone who may have seen the vehicles in the moments leading up to the incident.
