RGC made it two bonus-point wins from two but coach Mark Jones had mixed feelings after their win over Swansea.

The visitors edged an eight-try thriller at St Helen’s thanks to the reliable boot of fly-half Billy McBryde.

“The performance promised a lot in some areas, but I thought we were poor in other areas,” said Jones.

“We kept Swansea in the game as a result of our errors.”

The visitors took an early lead when an error let Tom Hughes in for a soft try under the posts.

Just minutes later the lead was doubled when Efan Jones broke in midfield and sprinted home to score.

Owen Morgan popped up in midfield to power over for a try for the home side, but the North Walians responded when Rhys Williams chipped into space and the bounce favoured Sam Jones, who scored in the corner.

Swansea were soon back on the front foot and a quick penalty by Jon Fox sent J Rhys Williams crashing over for a try under the posts.

The Whites were quick out of the blocks after the interval and R Rhys Williams got through a couple of tackles to score under the posts, but Cam Davies sealed victory in style when he looped around a scrum to score under the posts.

In the dying seconds the Whites went in search for a brace of bonus points and they were rewarded with a pushover try for Paul John.
