A MUM-OF-TWO wants to find her long-lost dad before it is too late for him to establish a relationship with her family.

Natasha Purcell’s father Anthony Davies is originally from Mountain Ash.

A MUM-OF-TWO wants to find her long-lost dad who walked out of her life more than 20 years ago – and her search has led her to a chip shop.

Natasha Purcell, from Ogmore Vale, near Bridgend, said she last saw her father, Anthony Davies, 23 years ago.

At the time he was living in Pencoed, but he then disappeared without notice, leaving no message or forwarding address.

Now she has children of her own, she said, she has decided to launch a search for her father – originally from Mountain Ash and now aged 60 – before it was too late for him to establish a relationship with her family.

She said: “I was seeing my father quite frequently when he was living in Pencoed. I would have been 11 or 12 at the time. He and my mother were not together, but I would go and see him every weekend.

“But then he suddenly moved on and left.

“He didn’t tell my mother and left no moving-on address.

“He had just had a baby, who was a couple of months old, and she has been in touch with me to say that she has not seen him any more.

“His brother’s daughter contacted me also to say she was trying to find him.”

Her search has led her to receive information that her dad may have been a regular at Penderry Fish Shop in Penlan, Swansea – but he hasn’t been seen there recently.

She added: “Over the past few weeks I have been thinking about him, that he is getting older, and if I leave it any later I might regret it, and so might he, as I have two children and my brother has three.

“It may be a long shot, but I want to have a go before it’s too late.”

Carla Edwards, who works in Penderry Fish Shop, said she believed Mr Davies had been a customer at the shop, and would like to help Ms Purcell in her search.
