POLICE searching for a missing man who disappeared leaving his mobile phone in his unlocked flat are appealing for help to trace a woman who may have important information.

Jordan Moray was last seen by a friend on July 29, and police and family members are increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Now details have been released of woman who is believed to have visited his house in Aberdare in the weeks before he vanished.

The woman is described as being in her 20s, with long dark hair and driving an “old-style” blue or purple Ford Fiesta.

Police said 32-year-old Mr Moray was seen getting into the vehicle and being dropped off at his Cwmbach home prior to his disappearance.

Detectives are urging the woman – or anyone who may be able to identify her – to come forward.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: “Officers continuing to search for missing Aberdare man Jordan Moray are appealing to trace a woman who may be able to assist with the investigation.

“Officers are keen to speak to the woman in the hope that she may hold some clues or information about his disappearance.

“She is urged to come forward, as is anyone who thinks they may know who the woman is. “

Mr Moray was last seen by his family on July 24, and by a friend some five days later in Bro Deg, Cwmbach.

He was reported missing to police on August 2 after concerned relatives visited his flat to find it unsecure, and with his phone left in the property and a computer games console running – all of which is described as being out of character for him.

Mr Moray has been described as being “obsessed” with the Army and was a fit runner, having taken part in the Fan Dance in 2018 – a 24km endurance run around Pen y Fan following the infamous SAS selection route. Hundreds of posters appealing for help have been put up around Aberdare in the weeks since he disappeared, and volunteers have been conducting their own searches of the Brecon Beacons.

A friend of the family has put forward a £2,000 reward for information.

Police said “numerous inquiries” are being carried out to trace him, including following up possible sightings from members of the public.
