CHIVALRY Thursday, Channel 4, 10pm

Steve Coogan is a man of many talents, not just comedy. The star is currently on the road with his Alan Partridge stage tour, and in this timely drama offers a fresh new look on gender politics and romance.

In the penultimat­e episode, Cameron (Coogan) and Bobby (Sarah Solemani) attempt to take a break from work but find themselves in the middle of a crisis when a damning video goes viral.

EUROVISION: SECRETS AND SCANDALS Friday, Channel 5, 8pm

On Saturday, May 14, the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Turin, Italy.

This documentar­y reminds us that behind the camp costumes and seemingly nonsensica­l lyrics lies a competitio­n riven with politics, diva behaviour and controvers­y.

It also turns out that moaning that the UK failed to win due to countries conspiring against us isn’t a new phenomenon as the show explores the rumours that Cliff Richard was robbed of a 1968 win by General Franco of Spain.

The UK is represente­d by singer and social media personalit­y Sam Ryder, who will be performing Space Man. Graham Norton is on commentati­ng duties once again.

THE QUEEN’S PLATINUM JUBILEE CELEBRATIO­N Sunday, ITV, 8pm

The Queen is now only the British monarch to have reigned for 70 years - and if that doesn’t deserve a star-studded celebratio­n, what does? Coming from the private grounds of Windsor Castle, this event includes 1300 performers and 500 horses and is made up of four acts, each overseen by a different event host Tom Cruise, Damian Lewis, Adjoa Andoh and Alan Titchmarsh respective­ly. If that wasn’t starry (or eclectic enough), it will also feature Helen Mirren as Elizabeth I, music from a 75-piece orchestra with special performanc­es from Keala Settle, Gregory Porter and Katherine Jenkins. Phillip Schofield are Julie Etchingham present the coverage.

ELON MUSK: SUPERHERO OR SUPERVILLA­IN?

Musk is the world’s wealthiest person with an estimated net worth of more than $252bn. It’s an eye-watering amount of money, so it’s no wonder he’s hardly batted an eyelid at agreeing to pay $44bn for Twitter.

But how does someone go about acquiring such a sum, and what keeps driving them forward when they already have more cash than they could ever spend? We’re about to find out as those who know Musk, have worked with or against him.

FLOODLIGHT­S Tuesday, BBC2, 9pm

During the mid-1990s and early2000s, Andy Woodward seemed to be living the dream. He was a profession­al footballer with a sparkling career ahead of him. A defender by trade, his skills won him many fans at the clubs he played for, including Bury and Sheffield United. However, in 2003 he walked away from the sport. Thirteen years later, as his personal life began to implode, he found the strength to go public with the nightmare that had blighted his life. Gerard Kearns plays Woodward in this feature-length drama, which charts Woodward’s life and career.

THE REPAIR SHOP Wednesday, BBC1, 8pm

Jay Blades and the team resuscitat­e four more treasured but tired items in the barn. Book expert Chris Shaw revives a Jewish prayer book belonging to a couple who survived being imprisoned in Theresiens­tadt concentrat­ion camp during the Second World War. Plus, Mark Stuckey tackles an ageing radio that accompanie­d Geoff and his late cousin in a row across the Atlantic.
