Enjoy a towering trip into terror at Zip World

- GINETTE DAVIES newsdesk@walesonline.co.uk

ZIP World Tower will bring a taste of Halloween thrills to the Valleys this October half-term as it debuts its ‘Monsters of the Mine’ event.

Nerves will be put to the test as visitors can complete three terrifying night rides, swamped by monsters, and watch impressive fire-breathing shows.

A two-week spine-chilling event comes to the Rhigos Mountain between October 20 and 31, which will see terrifying Monsters of the Mine stroll across Zip World Tower.

The world’s fastest seated zip line will get a whole lot scarier, with monsters lurking in the shadows, waiting to grab guests as they board.

The only way to escape the monsters is by completing the Phoenix zip line.

After guests have escaped the monsters, they will be able to watch a spectacular fire-breathing show, featuring an impressive display of light and flame all evening.

Thrill-seekers can also complete the cursed climber, which involves climbing the Tower Climber adventure course at night.

This course features 55 different elements and obstacles, with sinister claw-like hands eager to clench on to adventure-goers’ ankles.

People can also zip through the night on Fear Flyer, which features three mini but thrilling zip lines – perfect for little monsters or older adventurers.

Not a thrill seeker? Have no fear as Zip World Tower also has spectator passes.

Guests will be able to watch the carnage unfold, get up close with the Monsters of the Mine and enjoy the spectacular fire-breathing shows all evening. When hunger strikes, there will also be plenty of snacks to choose from at Cegin Glo Bar & Bistro.

Visitors can pre-book tickets from £25 to access Zip World’s Monsters of the Mine Halloween event at Zip World Tower, Treherbert Road, Hirwaun, Aberdare, CF44 9UF, from 7.30pm-10.30pm. For more information, visit zipworld.co.uk.
