HERE is a new role model for women out there: her name is Charlotte Poole. Admittedly, at fi rst glance the 23- year- old Ms Poole, pictured below, might not look like someone our impressionable children should model themselves on because she has spent thousands of pounds on shaping herself into a living Barbie including breast implants taking her up to a 34F. But if there was ever a case of not judging a book by its cover then this is it. For Charlotte also has a law degree and a masters with distinction, has landed an excellent job as a social media coordinator for a fashion company and boasts 12 GCSEs and three A- levels. Women are often told they have to choose between brains and beauty but this woman has got both.
As it happens I’m not that enamoured of the Barbie look and Charlotte only takes it to extremes occasionally, referring to herself in Barbie persona as “Charlotte Elizabeth”.
Most of the time she looks fairly normal albeit with exceedingly dyed hair. But if it makes her happier with herself why on earth shouldn’t she meddle with nature?
The vast majority of women try to make the most of themselves. This may come as a shock to some sensitive souls out there but my hair colour is not the one I was born with. And I am far from being alone.
The fact is that if you dress like a slob then people are going to think you are a slob whereas if you work to improve yourself, both physically and intellectually, then you are going to get on in life.
“I have had girls say they hate me because of the way I look but just because I look this way doesn’t make me an idiot,” said Charlotte.
Indeed it does not and it speaks volumes about her detractors rather than Charlotte.
Trust me, this woman is defi nitely going places. It is the other women who will be the losers in the end. THE BBC’s blatantly Lefty bias hit a new low last week with quite disgusting attempts to link Mrs Thatcher as she then was with the repellent Jimmy Savile.
The two met occasionally when she was PM and she supported his work for Stoke Mandeville hospital and yet this has been presented as “extraordinary access”.
What tosh. Savile hoodwinked the entire establishment and for the BBC of all people to hint at anything sinister is a bit rich.
It wasn’t Baroness Thatcher who covered up Savile’s antics for decades and then cancelled an investigation into them, it was Auntie. What a load of revolting hypocrites.
IT HAS been suggested that in time Kate Middleton should become the Princess Consort rather than Queen Kate. After all male spouses of a female monarch are not styled “King” as under current rules that takes precedent over “Queen”. So if Prince Philip were King Philip, he and not Queen Elizabeth would be the head of state.
Yet why not change the law on this and make Philip a King consort? Kate could then later be Queen to William. Philip has done his bit for the country. Let’s show a bit of gratitude in return.
