Gwyneth’s Valentine’s Day ‘ date’ with her estranged husband
THEY may have split up – but you would never know looking at these pictures of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin together on Valentine’s Day.
Despite famously ending their 10- year marriage last March by “consciously uncoupling”, the showbiz pair appear every inch the perfect match in these pictures.
They were totally relaxed together as they strolled arm- in- arm on Malibu Beach, California, with their children Moses, eight, and Apple, 10.
At one point Gwyneth tenderly rested a hand on Chris’s arm and later they sat together chatting while enjoying the view.
The blissful family day could spark rumours that Coldplay frontman Chris, 37, and Glee actress Gwyneth, 42, are getting back together.
She was wearing sunglasses and dressed in dark blue Capri pants and black tank top.
Barefooted Chris appeared to have coordinated his outfit, wearing blue shorts, a blue T- shirt and a matching baseball cap with a yellow smiley face logo on the front.
At one point he sat with daughter Apple on his knee, while she had her arm around Dad’s neck.
Chris and Gwyneth were joined by the family Maltese dog Daffodil and Ryder Hudson, the 11- year- old son of actress Kate Hudson, who is a friend of Moses.
The couple announced they were separating last year in an official statement which said: “It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate.” Since the split Chris has been linked romantically with the Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence. They began dating in June last year. The relationship appeared to have ended by October but they were seen having dinner together in December.
And it was claimed last month that Chris and Jennifer were still very much together.
An insider told People magazine: “Even though they are both busy, the relationship is solid. They see each other when they can.
“She understands that the children come first with Chris.
“His relationship with Gwyneth is based around the family and it will always be a part of his life. Things are good between them.”
Gwyneth gave further details of the reasons behind her marriage split in this month’s edition of the Australian edition of Marie Claire.
She said: “There was nothing dramatic or anything. I had built my life on trying to be all things to all people, and I just couldn’t do it any more.
“I really had the sense that I wasn’t allowed to have needs and I had to prove my selfworth by doing all this stuff and taking care of everybody else. I just sort of hit a wall.”
On her current relationship with Chris, she said: “We’ve worked really hard. We’re very, very close, and it’s so nice.
“I feel like, in a way, it’s the relationship we were meant to have.” And it certainly looks as if it is working...
