PERHAPS your Mother’s Day was a symphony of bouquets of roses, boxes of soft- centres and ravishing roast dinners consumed in the company of your besotted offspring? Maybe you spent the day paying tribute to your own magnificent mum?
Or were you one of the excluded, forced to field a very different reality? If you have lost your beloved mum or are still struggling with a traumatic relationship with her, if you were given up for adoption or if you have found it impossible to become a mother yourself though you very much want to, the day can be a tough ordeal that only serves to highlight all you have lost or all you never had.
Take courage Mother’s Day survivors – you are through the other side and it’s a whole year till the next one.
