Baffled by pensions

MILLIONS of workers are ignoring the performance of their pension pots because of ignorance or confusion, experts warn.

Forty- seven per cent of those aged 50- plus and saving regularly admit they do not know how much money they have for retirement.

One in five has never checked and the same number told consumer group Which? they would not know how to find details of their pots.

Which? wants a “dashboard” system so savers can see all their retirement information in one place.
