Hemsley’s handover
NUMIS boss Oliver Hemsley is stepping down as chief executive of the UK broking firm he founded over 25 years ago as it posted record half- year revenues.
Hemsley, 53, will hand over in the autumn to Alex Ham and Ross Mitchinson as joint CEOs, but will remain as an executive director. He has an 8 per cent stake in the business worth about £ 20million.
He said: “It is time for the next generation. Alex and Ross have worked alongside me for a number of years and I have huge confi dence in them.” Pre- tax profi t rose 35 per cent to £ 19.3million on 24 per cent higher revenue of £ 56.8million.
