- By Harry Talbot

NORWICH boss Alex Neil is confi dent his players are ready for the “biggest game of our lives” when they take on Manchester United .

With just three games left, the Canaries are 19th, yet only two points behind 17th- placed Newcastle, who have played a match more.

Norwich’s lunchtime kick- off could leave their relegation rivals playing catch- up, with Sunderland at home to Chelsea while Newcastle travel to relegated Aston Villa. After today Norwich play Watford and Everton and Neil, above, said: “This is certainly the biggest game of our lives at the moment because it is the most relevant for us and is going to shape our future.

“With the fi nance which is coming in next season, it will make the divide bigger between the Championship and the Premier League.

“We need to try to consolidate, try to push forward and become a team who are not fl irting with relegation, a more stable Premier League team, but that will only happen if we stay up.”

United manager Louis van Gaal admits his side must win “four cup fi nals” to save their season – and his job.

Aside from Norwich today, United visit West Ham on Tuesday and are home to Bournemouth next Sunday as they bid to keep alive hopes of pinching fourth place and a qualifi cation ticket for next season’s Champions League.

And then they need to lift the FA Cup for the fi rst time since 2004 by beating Crystal Palace at Wembley on May 21.

“We must win every game,” he said. “We more or less face four cup fi nals.

“I can’t afford to lose them and Manchester United can’t afford to lose them.”
