TalkTalk comes roaring back
TALKTALK signalled it is back on track after annual profits more than halved following a cyber attack which cost it £42million.
The broadband operator said a record low 1.3 per cent of its customers had cancelled their subscriptions in the fourth quarter. About 95,000 had defected in the previous three months after a data breach affecting the personal details of 157,000 customers.
Pre-tax profit fell from £32million to £14million on 2.4 per cent higher revenue of £1.84billion. Chief executive Dido Harding said the business had “bounced back strongly”.
