The unnamed pair of ageing movers won an army of admirers by feeling the vibe until 5am at super-hip London club Fabric.

DJ Jacob Husley, 35, said the couple had been keen dancers in their native Poland and wanted to check out Fabric during their trip to the UK to visit their daughter, who lives in Watford, Herts.

Tickets

“Right at the beginning of the night I saw them slowly making their way down the stairs because the woman was on crutches,” he said.

“It looked like they were lost. They were Polish and couldn’t speak English, so I asked security if they were OK and was told they had tickets.

“I ran down to welcome them – I was just so astounded they were there.

“I gave them a tequila shot each and the woman gave me a ‘high five’, and then they both went on to the dance floor.”

The couple had been so impressed by a Polish newspaper review of Fabric that they bought tickets online and went on Sunday, when the club stages a weekly event for house music fans.

The pair were said to be thrilled by the “bodysonic” dance floor, which reverberates to the beat of 450-watt bass speakers.

Hursley said: “They took the Tube to the club and were planning on staying until 6am, when they could get the Underground back to Watford.

“I said I would get them a taxi because I didn’t want them feeling they had to stay until the morning.

“Later on I gave them a table upstairs and they ordered some tea. In fact, they had two rounds of tea during the night.”

The couple’s story went viral last night as social media users shared the uplifting story of the senior dance idols.

One Twitter-user, club DJ Rob da Bank, commented: “Big up this elderly Polish couple who raved ’til 5am.”
