Plan ahead to beat Dover’s appalling holiday queues
WHY is there such chaos getting into France via Dover to Calais (“Dover hell ‘is revenge for Brexit’”, July 25)?
There are ferries to Europe from Folkestone to Boulogne, Ramsgate to Dunkirk, Sheerness to Vlissingen, Harwich to Holland, Hamburg and Gothenburg and Felixstowe to Zeebrugge.
With forward planning and maybe having to drive a bit further to get to their destination, it would surely be better than having to queue in stationary traffic for days?
