London is just so busy

LONDON is full to bursting. Walking past the Tower of London before nine in the morning an endless queue of dutiful tourists was snaking in. Popping to Borough Market at lunchtime to find some nice cheese I was jammed between office workers and visitors buying fast food. Finding a pub in Soho on a summer’s evening where you can get a quick drink and somewhere to actually sit is an ordeal.

People, people everywhere. Jostling, barging with their backpacks, dawdling over mobiles. There’s a fine line between enjoying the bustle of summer in the city and feeling as though you’re in one of those experiments with over-populated rats where they end up eating each other.
