TOM HELPS EDDIE DIVE STRAIGHT IN

EDDIE REDMAYNE tells us that Olympian Tom Daley has helped his acting career.

“One of the things for me is dealing with nerves,” says Eddie, 34, who won a Best Actor Oscar last year for The Theory Of Everything. “One of our neighbours in London is Tom Daley and I went to see him do the synchronised stuff. How he handles nerves, I found inspirational.”

Eddie has been in Rio as part of his ambassadorial role for watchmakers Omega and managed to see high-diver Tom, 22, pick up his bronze medal. Totally impressed, he adds: “The margin for error is so tiny and yet the stakes are so high… extraordinary.”
