Bike path gets steps

CYCLISTS have been left baffled by a new route which includes a 200ft flight of steps.

The £350,000 path is designed to help bikes avoid a busy road in Torquay, Devon, but anyone using it will face a steep section of steps in the middle of the path.

A channel on either side helps cyclists push their bikes up the steps, but Torbay Council admits it is “not an ideal solution” and is considering options to improve it.
