EU chief’s idiotic proposals border on the dangerous
WITH chaos on Europe’s borders and with more EU member nations re-establishing some form of border controls, it is lunacy for Jean-Claude Juncker to suggest we need to get rid of all borders (“EU boss sparks border outrage”, August 23).
This must now bring down to single figures the number of people who think along the same lines and with Mrs Merkel seemingly in danger of losing her job at the forthcoming German elections – and particularly as she seems to be in agreement with Mr Juncker, when many in her country now want to see the end of mass immigration – that figure could soon come down even further.
Surely this proves we were 100 per cent correct to vote to get out of the EU because these people simply do not learn from their mistakes. They seem happy to blithely carry on making the same mistakes time after time.
The people of the EU won’t stand for much more of their nonsense. Philip Munro, Manchester
